OUR PURPOSE
J.A.M. Student Ministries is focused on helping students come to know Jesus Christ in a personal relationship and leading them to intensely pursue God's own heart.  Our desire is that each student will impact their homes, schools, communities and world for the glory of Jesus Christ.  It is our hope and prayer to see each student at First Baptist Church become Great Commission Christians.

Student Ministry supports First Baptist’s mission, vision and purpose by encouraging students to INVITE nonbelievers to experience a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to INTERACT with a church family, to WORSHIP the Lord, to IMPRINT God's Word on their hearts and in their minds, and to IMPACT the world for Christ in their homes, schools, community, state, nation, and in other countries."

OUR VISION
Below is a list of goals we have for each student. Our hope and prayer is that every student would understand and embrace each of these in their lives.  By doing so, they are laying a strong spiritual foundation before entering college.

1. To Receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ
2. Publicly Confess Christ and Obey His Command to be Baptized
3. Understand How to Have a Personal Quiet Time
4. Genuinely Love God and Love His People
5. Honor and Obey His/Her Parents
6. Develop a Vision for Being Used by God in a Mighty Way 
7. Know How to Share their Personal Faith and Witness to Someone
8. Remain Faithful to Christ through College and Adulthood
9. Surrender to God fully and completely 
10. Make Wise Decisions
